What will you do?
As a first-trimester abortion care physician, you will play a key role in ensuring that care at Mildred Clinics is provided professionally and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:
Office Hours
- Decision-Making Support and Intake Interviews
- Counseling based on medical history, gestational age, and the client’s wishes
- Follow-up Checks
- Contraceptive Counseling and Advice
Performing Treatments
- Medical treatment (abortion pill)
- Extraction under sedation (with an anesthesiologist) or local anesthesia
You’ll be working in a multidisciplinary team with nurses and receptionists.
What we expect from you:
We believe it is important that you are committed to providing abortion care. Your actions are guided by the principle of providing quality care in the client’s best interest.
- You have completed a degree in medicine
- You must be BIG-registered (required)
- You have some clinical experience. Don’t have any experience as an abortion doctor? At Mildred Clinics, you’ll receive all the necessary training.
- You have strong communication skills (Dutch and English required); knowledge of additional foreign languages is a plus
- You can manage the team as needed
- You have a flexible attitude
- You are empathetic and practical
- You are patient, value a positive atmosphere within your team, and invest in building relationships with clients
- You are available to work on varying days, according to an agreed-upon schedule
- You are willing to work at both Mildred Clinics locations (Arnhem and Eindhoven)
