STD testing at Mildred Clinics

You cannot come to Mildred Clinics for just an STD test. As an abortion clinic, we do feel it is important to have STD testing available for our clients, should the need arise.

For example, you may have suspicions of an STI yourself, after unsafe sex and certain symptoms. Sometimes we see medical reason for an STI test during an abortion treatment, during a suction treatment or instrumental treatment, for example.

STD test and STD self-test: what do we mean by this?

Normally you go to your doctor or GGD for an STI test. But should we suspect an STI, you can buy an STI test at the counter in our clinics. This STI test:

  • perform yourself at home (instructions will be provided)
  • sign up through an online STI clinic portal

Thus, the results and further guidance are not through Mildred Clinics, but through an online, independent and secure portal.

In this way, we want to prevent care from getting mixed up and ensure that everyone is helped in the right place.

Cost of an STI home test

Is there a medical reason to buy an STI test at our clinic? Then you can buy the self-test at the counter. This cost is at your own expense.

You can pay in our clinics by cash, IBAN bank card or Visa/Master credit card.

Can you order an STI test from us separately or buy it online?

No. At Mildred Clinics, you cannot purchase an STD test separately or order it online. An STI home test can only be purchased if it is appropriate for your situation, and if you are being treated for abortion treatment.
