Working visit by MEP Raquel García Hermida van der Walle
Last Friday, MEP @Raquel García Hermida van der Walle of D66 paid a working visit to our clinic @Mildred Clinics. Raquel is fully committed to women’s rights, and in particular sexual and reproductive health and rights. She is one of the spearheads of a collaboration between MEPs from different parties working for abortion rights in Europe. In doing so, she values contact with professionals in the field.
We talked to her about:
- The potential impact of the wonderful parliamentary debates surrounding abortion, particularly the discussion of a possible registration requirement.
- The cross-border care component: to the extent received by clients from abroad, and what amounts are ten based on that? What possible administrative or legal problems are there with the basis of care to foreign patients?
Furthermore, we showed Raquel around our clinic in Eindhoven. Several colleagues shared their experiences from work and answered her questions. We are grateful for her visit and the valuable conversations held.
